Pune, 27 September: In the 21st century, India will emerge as the center of knowledge and a world leader, guiding the globe towards peace, prosperity, and contentment. To bring this prophecy of Swami Vivekananda to reality, the MIT World Peace University is organizing the 10th World Parliament of Science, Religion/Spirituality, and Philosophy from 3rd to 5th October at the world’s largest peace dome in Vishwarajbaug, Loni Kalbhor.

 

The inaugural ceremony of the conference will take place on Thursday, 3rd October at 9:30 AM. The event will be graced by Padma Vibhushan Dr. Karan Singh, eminent scientist Padma Vibhushan Dr. Raghunath Mashelkar, and world-renowned computer expert Padma Bhushan Dr. Vijay Bhatkar. The closing ceremony will be held on 5th October at 4:30 PM, with Kerala’s Governor Dr. Arif Mohammed Khan as the chief guest. This information was shared by the founder-president of MIT World Peace University, Prof. Dr. Vishwanath D. Karad, WPU Vice-Chancellor Dr. R.M. Chitnis, and the chief coordinator of the event, Dr. Milind Pandey, during a press conference.

 

The press meet also saw the presence of former Nagpur University Vice-Chancellor Dr. S.N. Pathan, former Doordarshan Director Dr. Mukesh Sharma, and Dr. Sanjay Upadhye.

 

The conference will cover 11 key topics through knowledge-based sessions, including:

 

1. The role of world leaders in promoting a culture of peace to reduce global chaos, violence, terrorism, and war.

2. The concept and role of religion, with a divine blessing ceremony led by highly revered global religious leaders.

3. The need for harmony between science, spirituality, and philosophy for global peace.

4. Universal elements such as Om, Yoga, Vipassana, Namaz, prayer, and meditation as divine paths to achieve peace.

5. Promoting a value-based universal education system with a blend of science and spirituality in higher education.

6. Establishing schools of consciousness and reality to understand and experience the supreme truth, God.

7. Transforming world pilgrimage sites into divine knowledge centers and the role of science and spirituality in promoting peace.

8. Redefining sustainable development goals to combat global warming and ensure human survival.

9. Empowering international organizations like the UN, UNESCO, WHO, etc., to have direct intervention and control to prevent global chaos, violence, and conflicts.

10. From Genome to Om.

11. The role of media in establishing a culture of peace.

 

Special Ceremony:

On 2nd October, the eve of the World Parliament, full-sized statues of Zoroastrian prophet Zoroaster and the 7th-century Chinese traveler Xuanzang, who introduced India to the world, will be unveiled at the Shri Dnyaneshwar-Shri Tukaram Maharaj World Peace Hall. Eminent members of the Parsi community and officials from the Chinese embassy in Delhi will also be present for the event.
