Pune: Starting from October 27, IndiGo will launch a daily flight from Pune to Dubai and a three-times-weekly service to Bangkok, offering much-needed relief to Pune travelers. The announcement was made on X (formerly Twitter) by Murlidhar Mohol, Minister of State for Civil Aviation, and confirmed by Pune airport director Santosh Dhoke.

IndiGo secured the rights to operate both routes, while another airline had also applied. The flight schedules and other details will be finalized soon, according to Dhoke.

Currently, Pune airport operates two direct international flights – one to Dubai by SpiceJet and another to Singapore by Vistara, which started in December 2023. However, due to SpiceJet’s financial issues, the Dubai service has been frequently delayed, causing many passengers to opt for flights from Mumbai to Dubai instead.

The new IndiGo services are expected to provide better alternatives for Pune travelers, making their journeys smoother and more convenient.
