Pune : On behalf of Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Pharmacists Association, World Pharmacist Day in the Y.C.M. Hospital. It was celebrated with enthusiasm in the hospital. On this occasion Dr. Health Medical Officer was the chief guest. Dr. Laxman Gophane and Additional Health Medical Officer and Head of Department Dr. Abhaychandra Dadewar was present.
The program was started by Dr. The lamp was lit by Laxman Gofane. In his guiding speech, Dr. Gofane said that the budget of the medical department of Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation has reached 600 crores. While expressing the need to control the budget, he praised the municipal health service. He said that 12,000 to 14,000 patients are examined every day, which underlines the importance of health department’s efficiency and service. He mentioned that everyone from the municipal administration to the ward boys and aunts has a role to play.
Dr. Explaining the important role of pharmacist, Abhay Chandra Dadewar said, “When a patient comes to you from a doctor, your behavior towards him is very important. That is why the patient comes to you with blessing or displeasure. So pharmacists should treat the patient with compassion, especially the young generation should seriously consider it.”
Pharmacist Shyam Chavan, Vasundhara Patil, M. A. Malik had a special presence. Statements were made by Deepak Kudale and Narayan Jaibhai, while foreword was presented by Shahaji Jamadar. Some dignitaries were felicitated on this occasion.
Rajesh Nikam, Abhijit Godge, Somnath Swamy, Shilpa Jagtap, Jagannath Birdkar, Swati Kale, Harshada Vanve, Tejashwi Khade expressed their feelings through poetry presentation.
