
Mehsana, India – A training aircraft belonging to a private pilot training company crashed in Uchharpi village, Mehsana, during a training session on Monday. The plane, which took off from the Mehsana Aerodrome, went down in a farmland area near a river, injuring a trainee female pilot.
According to initial reports, the plane was part of an ongoing pilot training program when the accident occurred. Upon receiving information about the crash, police officials and administrative teams rushed to the site. Emergency response teams, including an ambulance service, were also dispatched to provide immediate assistance.
Uchharpi village registrar J.M. Pathan confirmed the incident, stating that the aircraft crashed near a river, and a woman pilot was injured. “Devotees in a nearby temple reached the spot and helped rescue her,” he said.
The injured pilot was promptly transported to a hospital for medical treatment and is said to have sustained minor injuries. Fortunately, no casualties have been reported.
Authorities, including police officials, the Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM), health department personnel, fire brigade, and air force representatives, have arrived at the crash site to assess the situation. An investigation is expected to determine the cause of the accident.
