New Delhi: Indian Army Chief General Upendra Dwivedi addressed senior officers of the Indian Air Force during the Air Force Commanders’ Conference held in New Delhi. Delivering a talk titled “Pursuits Towards Shaping a Future-Ready Army,” General Dwivedi provided an overview of the current security situation along the borders and outlined the Indian Army’s focus areas and recent initiatives aimed at strengthening preparedness.
Highlighting the pillars of transformation, the Army Chief emphasized the importance of force restructuring, modernization, and technological advancements. He underlined the critical role of digitized, networked, and automated systems in shaping a future-ready force, while also focusing on effective human resource management to ensure operational efficiency.
General Dwivedi stressed the need for jointness and integration across all branches of the Armed Forces. He pointed to the increasing frequency of joint exercises among the Army, Navy, and Air Force as a key step toward enhanced cooperation. This, he stated, aligns with the vision of a future-ready force as part of the Viksit Bharat@2047 initiative.
