Dhaka: Amid ongoing atrocities against Hindus in Bangladesh, questions are being raised about the actions of the government and police. Meanwhile, ISKCON Kolkata Vice President Radharaman Das has made a significant claim. In a post on the social media platform X, he stated that Chinmoy Krishna Das Brahmachari has been arrested by Dhaka police. Chinmoy Krishna Das had organized a rally in support of Hindus in Bangladesh, and a sedition case has been filed against him.
Radharaman Das wrote, “I have just received shocking news. Hindu monk and a leader of Bangladeshi minorities in these challenging times, Chinmoy Krishna Das Brahmachari, has been arrested by Dhaka Police. He has been taken to an unknown location by the intelligence branch of Dhaka police.”
Increasing Persecution of Hindus
Since the ousting of Sheikh Hasina’s government, atrocities against Hindus in Bangladesh have not ceased. Earlier this month, a similar incident occurred in the southeastern port city of Chittagong. Violence erupted after remarks were made about an ISKCON temple. The army was called into some parts of the city. Reports suggest that a Muslim shopkeeper posted objectionable comments against ISKCON on his social media account, which led to the unrest. Several people were injured in the violence.
