Pune, India: The Granules Green Heartfulness Run, a global initiative by Heartfulness in collaboration with the Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports and FIT India, is set to unite 40,000 participants across 80 locations worldwide. Aimed at promoting physical, mental, and emotional wellness alongside sustainability, Pune’s edition of the run will take place on 1st December 2024, starting and ending at SNBP International School, Wagholi, and passing through Nagar Road.
Runners can choose between 1KM, 3KM, 5KM, and 10KM categories. Proceeds from the event will be directed towards planting 10,000 saplings, contributing to Heartfulness’ mission to enhance India’s green cover.
Notable attendees include Dr. Jagannath Dixit, a prominent figure in diabetes reversal, and Preeti Maske, a Guinness World Record holder. Supporting organizations include MIT-ADT University, Adar Poonawalla Group, GH Raisoni College, Adventure IIT, Giriraj Jewellers, and IVY Estate.
The Principal of SNBP International School, the venue partner, shared, “This event is a wonderful opportunity for the community to come together for a meaningful cause.”
During a recent press briefing, Heartfulness spokesperson Vikram Makwana emphasized the event’s inclusivity, stating, “We encourage everyone to participate—whether by running, jogging, or walking—to support the cause of environmental sustainability and community wellness.”
