
Pune, Dec 14: “Through the Frame,” a curated group art exhibition by Ajay Chandak, was inaugurated yesterday at the Raja Ravi Varma Art Gallery on Ghole Road, Pune. The event witnessed the presence of many eminent personalities, art enthusiasts, curators, architects, interior designers, and artists.
The inauguration was graced by renowned artist Milind Mulick, industrialist Jitendra Digvi, architect Ramprasad Akkiserri, artist Sanjay Desai, and the curator himself, Ajay Chandak.
The exhibition, open until December 15, 2024, showcases a diverse range of mediums, including painting, photography, sculpture, and mixed media, featuring works by over 25 contemporary and classic artists. Eminent contributors include Milind Mulick, Sanjay Desai, Vasanth Rao, Hina Bhatt, Gopal Pardesi, and Vivek Nimbholkar, among others.
Curator Ajay Chandak explained the theme, emphasizing that doors and windows symbolize the stories of regions, cultures, and people. “Each artwork reflects unique cultural narratives, weaving together local traditions, stories, and the intimate dynamics of household life,” he said.
Art lovers and the public are invited to explore this rich tapestry of creativity and culture until December 15 at the Raja Ravi Varma Art Gallery.
