Enga Province: Nehemiah Walyo, 26, proudly graduated with a Bachelor in Education from the University of Goroka on January 14, 2025, during its 28th graduation ceremony. The moment was filled with joy as some of his parents and friends witnessed the achievement, expressing their pride and wishing him success in his future endeavors.
Reflecting on his journey, Nehemiah shared an emotional and inspiring message:
“It was very hard, but I made it. I fought many silent battles, wiped my own tears, and survived my darkest moments. I thank God for the journey. No man is meant to live in pain and hardship forever; one day, he must experience happiness and be rewarded with the light. From my first year to my final year, the four-year journey was not easy, but God always stayed by my side. His unconditional love carried me through the toughest days at UOG.”
He emphasized the transformative power of struggles, saying:
“From struggles, hardships, pain, rejection, and being avoided by systems and people, you emerge smarter, better, and wiser. These experiences shape you into someone stronger.”
Nehemiah expressed his heartfelt gratitude to his family and friends for their continuous support and prayers, which culminated in witnessing his proud moment on graduation day.
This remarkable achievement stands as a testament to his perseverance, faith, and determination to overcome all odds.
