Bangkok, Thailand– A tragic plane crash in Thailand has left all nine passengers on board presumed dead. The Cessna Caravan C208B aircraft, carrying five Chinese tourists and four Thais, including the two pilots, went down 100 kilometers southeast of Bangkok on Thursday, just 11 minutes after losing contact with ground control.

The flight, designated TFT209, was en route to the eastern province of Trat after departing from Suvarnabhumi Airport in Bangkok. Registered to Thai Flying Service Co Ltd, the charter plane’s sudden loss of communication has prompted an urgent investigation into the cause of the crash.

Chonlatee Yongtrong, the governor of Chachoengsao province, where the crash occurred, confirmed that all aboard are presumed dead. “We found many human remains,” the governor said, noting that the plane appeared to have dropped vertically, embedding itself up to 10 meters into the ground. The search has been challenging due to the muddy, forested terrain, with rescuers using hoes and pumps to navigate the boggy crash site.

Photographs from the site depict aircraft debris scattered across the forested area, with rescue workers and forensic teams working diligently to recover and identify the remains.

The loss has shocked both Thai and Chinese communities, as authorities continue to search the crash site and piece together what led to this devastating accident.
