Bengaluru: A tragic incident occurred during a press conference in Bengaluru where a senior Congress leader, C.K. Ravichandran, passed away after suffering a heart attack. The 63-year-old leader collapsed from his chair in the middle of addressing the media, and the shocking moment was captured on video.
C.K. Ravichandran, a prominent Congress leader in Karnataka, was holding a press conference in support of Chief Minister Siddaramaiah. During the event, he suddenly suffered a heart attack and fell from his chair. He was immediately rushed to Fortis Hospital on Cunningham Road but was declared dead before reaching the hospital.
Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah expressed his deep sorrow over Ravichandran’s untimely death. He stated, “C.K. Ravichandran, a member of the Karnataka State Backward Classes and Minorities Association, was holding a press conference at the Press Club in Bengaluru against the Governor’s order for prosecution. It is deeply saddening that he passed away due to a heart attack during the press conference.”
Siddaramaiah further added, “Ravichandran’s demise is a great loss to us, especially in our fight to safeguard the Constitution and democracy. I pray for his soul to rest in peace.”
Ravichandran was a member of the Congress Campaign Committee and was addressing the press against the Governor’s sanction to prosecute Chief Minister Siddaramaiah in connection with the Mysore land scam.
