Pune, 19 September 2024: The Regiment of Artillery, in collaboration with the Centre for Land Warfare Studies (CLAWS), organized the second edition of the Gen SF Rodrigues Memorial Seminar at the General Bipin Rawat Auditorium. The event, a tribute to the late Chief of Army Staff, focused on the theme National Security @2047.
The seminar began with a keynote address from Lieutenant General Dhiraj Seth, Ati Vishisht Seva Medal, General Officer Commanding-in-Chief, Southern Command, setting a strong tone for the discussions.
Key sessions included “Audit of India’s Defence Posture”and “Amrit Kaal – The Road Ahead (Blueprint on Capacity Building)”, offering a deep analysis of India’s defense strategies. Air Marshal (Dr) Diptendu Choudhury (Retd), Param Vishisht Seva Medal, emphasized self-reliance in his special address on Atma Nirbharta, highlighting its importance in securing national interests.
The seminar provided a platform for military, economic, and diplomatic perspectives on national security. Esteemed veterans shared their insights, generating actionable recommendations for India’s security blueprint for 2047. The event saw a large gathering of distinguished serving and retired officers, scholars, and security experts.
In his closing remarks, Lieutenant General Adosh Kumar, Ati Vishisht Seva Medal, Sena Medal, Director General Artillery, expressed gratitude to all participants and speakers for their valuable contributions. The seminar ended with a renewed commitment to overcoming national security challenges as India approaches 2047.
