Pune: A successful Period Awareness Campaign was conducted at Maharshi Dadhichi Rushi Chowk in Pune, under the leadership of Anjali Daine (Chartered Accountant and alumna of Symbiosis College), founder of The Period Society Pune. The campaign aimed to break the stigma surrounding menstruation and foster open discussions about menstrual health.
Volunteers held up creative posters with impactful slogans and period-positive messages while engaging passersby in meaningful conversations. With enthusiasm and a strong commitment to spreading awareness, participants asked thought-provoking questions to the public, capturing their responses on camera.
A unique aspect of the campaign involved displaying various menstrual products and challenging the public to identify them, which sparked curiosity and facilitated learning. The event attracted attention from people of all age groups, creating a positive and inclusive dialogue around a natural, yet often stigmatized, topic.
Through this initiative, The Period Society Pune continues to push the boundaries of menstrual health advocacy, striving to educate and empower communities. You can follow them on Instagram at @periodsocietypune.
