Pune: As part of Eighth International Day of Yoga (IDY-22) and towards spreading awareness about benefits of Yoga, a number of events were organised at INS Shivaji Lonavla. The events included Two structured Common Yoga Protocol (CYP) sessions under the supervision of Qualified instructors from Kaivalydham Yoga Institute, Lonavla and regular Yoga training sessions for Service Personnel and station Ladies focused towards enhancing Strength, flexibility, and mindfulness. Further, series of interactive sessions on Yoga Therapy and its benefits were also organised at the Establishment.
The establishment also promoted and highlighted Importance of Yoga by way of illuminating the main administrative Building and Parade Ground on the eve of IDY-22.
The Yoga practice session on International Day of Yoga on 21 Jun 22 saw an overwhelming participation from all Station Personnel and families wherein Yoga was practiced at various scenic and serene locations in complete harmony with Nature.
