Pune: 7712 NCC cadets and 80 Officers and Trainers of NCC Group HQ, Pune participated in the nationwide event to conduct International Yoga Day 2022 today in line with protocol of the AYUSH Ministry .The Cadets performed Yoga over 08 locations all over Pune, Solapur and adjoining areas. Yoga Instructors hired from Art of Living Yoga Foundation guided the participants to perform in line with Common Yoga Protocol (CYP).
Yoga was performed at various training institutions and at Places of Historical Importance in addition to the events being held centrally at NCC Gp HQ, Pune at Senapati Bapat Road.
Brig R K Gaikwad , Commander, NCC Gp HQ, Pune presided over this enthusiastic assembly of youth as well as able bodied cadets from all 3 services and exhorted all to adapt the Yoga way of life, while explaining the essence of the theme “Yoga for Humanity”.
The event was preceded by cadets taking pledge over the AYUSH Ministry Link, Run Up Programmes and ended with CYP on 21 Jun 2022. This day shall continue to inspire the NCC cadets to imbibe values from our Sanskruti and add to the spirit of nation building.
