Pune: Everyone has weaknesses. We are all imperfect. God has given us as a society the opportunity to serve to awaken the self-esteem of the disabled to go towards perfection. Sarkaryawah Dattatreya Hosbale of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh asserted that if the society encourages them by considering what they have rather than what they do not have, they can make a great contribution to the country.
He was speaking at the inaugural function of the Triennial National Convention of the Samadrishti, Kadhya Vikas va Samidshan Mandal (‘Saksam’) or the National Organization for the Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities. The convention will continue for two days at the Maharshi Karve Institute in Pune. On this occasion, Pujya Swami Govinddev Giri Maharaj, Treasurer of Sri Ram Janmabhoomi Pilgrimage Trust in Ayodhya was the chief presence.
Sarkaryawah Hosbal further said that there are many uses for the rehabilitation of the disabled. Braille itself has contributed to the advancement of Indian language. People with disabilities have overcome their inferiority and achieved extraordinary feats than ordinary people with their talents. We should preserve their self-respect and give them encouragement, confidence and support. But he pointed out that many types of syndrome, brain dysfunction, Down syndrome, autism are coming forward and there is a need for comprehensive training to try to overcome it.

Swami Govinddev Giri Maharaj blessed many people with disabilities who have created history by inspiring the society with their achievements. Morale is the supreme strength of man. He who lacks morale becomes weak even though all his organs are intact, and those who have strong morale are capable despite being crippled. He who loses confidence loses everything. While presenting the philosophy of the Bhagavad Gita, he gave fundamental advice to not keep any weakness in the heart, to keep self-confidence constantly awake. He said that it is meaningful to do this supreme service and keep the spirit of dedication towards Mother India with purity of heart.
