Pune: INS Shivaji at Lonavla conducted a number of activities themed on ‘ One Earth’ and focusing on ‘Living Sustainably in Harmony with Nature’ on 05 Jun 22 at station Lonavla as a part of ‘World Environment Day’ celebrations.
The activities included a Cleanliness & Enviorment Awareness Drive, a poster making competition, Pollution Control camp and a Tree Plantation Drive, wherein more than 1000 Fruit/ Non fruit bearing trees were planted.
The event saw an overwhelming response from Station personnel, families, children and NCC Cadets. Further, to sensitise the Station personnel, Short Films & videos based on the theme of ‘Only One Earth’ are being screened at Station Auditorium prior movie screenings.
