Pune: The three-day 12th Indian Student Parliament organized by the Bharatiya Chhatra Sansad Foundation, MIT School of Government and MIT World Peace University, Pune from 15 September to 17 September 2022 at Swami Vivekananda Sabhamandap, MIT World Peace University, Kothrud, Pune has done This Student Parliament is being organized every year since 2011, and this is the twelfth year of the Student Parliament.
The Student Parliament is being held in collaboration with the Ministry of Higher and Technical Education of the State of Maharashtra, as well as the Ministry of Sports and Youth Welfare and the UNESCO Chair for Human Rights, Democracy, Peace and Tolerance. Many national organizations have also supported this parliament.
The 12th Indian Student Parliament will be inaugurated on Thursday, September 15, 2022 at 11.00 am and will conclude on Saturday, September 17, 2022 at 3.00 pm.
In this three-day student parliament, the Minister of State for Law and Justice of the Government of India S.P. Singh Baghel, J.K. CEO of Udyog Group and President of IMC Chamber of Commerce Industry Ananth Singhania, environmentalist, green activist and Himalayan Ecologist and founder of Conservation Institute Dr. Padma Bhushan. Dr. Anil Prakash Joshi, Former Chairman of ISTRO. Kailasavadivu Sivan, famous classical singer Smt Kaushikhi Chakraborty, famous actress and former Rajya Sabha MP Roopa Ganguly, former CBI Director, D. R. Karthikeyan, Aam Aadmi Party National Spokesperson and Rajya Sabha MP Raghav Chadha, Renowned Journalist, Political Commentator Mr. Rashid Kidwai, Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Singh, Maharashtra Legislative Assembly Speaker Rahul Narvekar, State Finance Minister of Government of India Dr. Bhagwat Kishanrao Karad, Lok Sabha MP Manish Tiwari, Lalantap Editor Saurabh Dwivedi, Rajya Sabha MP Imran Pratapgarhi, Columnist and Writer Vikram Sampat, Famous Musician and Singer Shankar Mahadevan, Journalist, Writer Paranjoy Guha Thakurta, BJP National Spokesperson and Member and Retired IPS Smt Bharti Ghosh Along with him, many dignitaries from political, social, media, acting and industry fields will address the youth audience in this three-day 12th Indian Student Parliament.

 

World renowned scientist Padma Vibhushan Dr. Raghunath Mashelkar, Shri. Tushar Gandhi, Prof.Dr. Vishwanath Da. Karad, Anu Agha, Abhay Firodia, Justice N. Santosh Hegde, Lobsang Sangye, Mark Tooley, Dr. Vijay Bhatkar is the guide of this student council. Rahul Vishwanath Karad, Executive President of MIT World Peace University, is the founder of this student parliament.
Apart from the opening and closing ceremonies of the Student Parliament, 6 sessions have been organized in this Student Parliament. Sessions in Parliament are as follows:
Session 1: Freedom of Speech-Where is the Line?
Session 2: Nepotism- The Bitter Truth of Every Political Party?
Session 3 : Democracy and Corporatism – Who Has Power?
Session 4: Less Indian More Western: The Changing Nature of Indian Cinema
Session 5 : Noise or Rule of Law on Indian Media?
Session 6: Time for a Uniform Civil Code?
Apart from this, two special ‘Networking’ sessions have also been organized.

 

About Indian Student Parliament:
Bharatiya Chhatra Parliament was started in 2011 with the aim of bringing about a revolutionary change in the mentality of the young generation, inspiring them to participate in public works for the purpose of nation and society building. Working President of MIT World Peace University and Founder of Indian Student Parliament Prof. Rahul Vishwanath Karad is the convenor and coordinator of this student parliament. Also the founder president of MIT World Peace University Prof. Dr. Vishwanath Da. Karad is the mentor of this student parliament. Chhatra Sansad is a non-political organization and has no affiliation with any political party. Chhatra Sansad is the only and largest training class in the country to produce future political leaders. Through this parliament, the youth’s attitude towards politics, political leaders and democracy is changing. More than 10 thousand enthusiastic students from different colleges across the country will participate in this 12th Student Parliament.
Salient Features of Student Parliament of India:
– Direct participation of active students in political and social fields from 30 thousand colleges of 450 universities in 29 states. Students are tested at the college level and out of them 10 to 12 thousand students are directly involved in this student parliament.
– Participation of 90 thousand students from 200 universities through webcasting.
– Participation of Speakers of Legislative Assemblies of 6 States of India.
– Participation of Parliamentary Affairs Ministers of 6 states of India.
– Participation of Vice-Chancellors from 6 different Universities in India
– felicitation of young MLAs from various states and parties.
– Ideal Chief Minister Award and Ideal Youth MLA Award will be given.
– Ideal Highly Educated Youth Sarpanch Award and Ideal Youth Spiritual Guru Award as well
will be given.
