Pune: Executive Board Chairman Gopal Krishna Goswami (80) passed away in Dehradun on Sunday morning due to cardiac arrest. Through dedicated service and devotion, he contributed greatly in social and cultural fields.
Goswami was born in 1944 in New Delhi. He received scholarships for higher education at Sorbonne University in France and McGill University in Canada. Acharya Srila Prabhupada, the founder of ISKCON in Canada in 1968

Goswami served for many years as a trustee of the Bhaktivedanta Book Trust, which produced the Bhagavad Gita and other religious texts in more than 70 languages. Through the Annamrit Foundation started by him, healthy food is provided to 12 lakh students in 20 thousand schools in the country.
