Pune: On 9th October 2022, Rotaract District 3131 organized the 5th edition of its flagship event The Talk at pandit Bhimsen Joshi Kalamandir Aundh. 3 eminent personalities Shifu Harshh Verma- India’s 1st Shaolin Warrior Monk, Prof. Rajani Paranjpe ma’am – founder, president Door Step School and Mr. Kshitish date – actor, director (fame Dharmaveer) presented their experiences at the event along with a special show on magic – Making belive by Kshitish Date. Under the able leadership of District Rotaract Representative PHF DRR Adv. Akash Chikate and District convenor Rtr. Dr. Nabilah Kazi,the event was jointly hosted by RC Bharatvarsh, RC Panache, RC GEM, RC Patalganga and RC Global Youth of RID 3131. The event was proudly sponsored by Platinum – Ventive Makers Circle, Silver – Exotica Travellers and Banners & Printables – KR Paper Converters and Jiva. Also in presence were Past DRR PHF Arjun Dev and Immediate Past President – SEARIC MDIO Rtr. Kaushal Sahu. This event was one of its kind with the mission to inspire the youth of the nation towards a better tomorrow. The event also marked the 100th day of the Rotary International Year 2022-23.
Shifu Harshh Verma spoke about his journey from being a seasoned football player in school to how he was diagnosed with a tumor. How he had travelled across the world to find his true calling. And how he eventually decided to become a Shaolin Warrior Monk against all odds. Prof. Rajani Paranjpe spoke about her organization- Door Step School, a school on wheels that goes from place to place to educate underprivileged children. Her journey and inspiration towards starting up such a thoughtful school and also how her life has changed ever since. Mr. Kshitish Date who is a well known Actor and Director in the industry put up a show on Magic called Making belive by Kshitish Date where he performed some magic tricks that mesmerized the crowd. He also spike about this acting career and how magic has been an active part of his life since many years.
